PUBLIC CONSULTATION NOTICE: LESOTHO COMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY ADMINISTRATIVE RULES 2024
Acting in accordance with Section 4 (j) of the Communications Act No. 4 of 2012, the Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA) invites the public, industry stakeholders, and licensees to review and submit comments on the draft LCA (Administrative) Rules 2024 that will replace the current 2016 Rules governing the communications sector. These draft Rules have been developed to align with technological advancements and emerging trends within the communications industry.
The draft rules cover, among others, the following regulatory areas:
- Licence applications, renewals, amendments, suspensions and revocations
- Spectrum management
- Type approval
- Numbering and tariff regulation
- Access and Infrastructure sharing
- Competition management
- Consumer protection
- Data privacy, protection and cybersecurity
All interested parties are invited to provide feedback, comments and suggestions which the LCA should consider when finalising the draft Rules.
